The goal of Central Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ through worship, discipleship, evangelism and mission. (Mission statement set in 2000)

Following the success of the last 2 years and with the help of Churches Together in Launceston, it is proposed to again give Hot Cross Buns to as many shoppers and shop workers in the town as possible on Easter Saturday, 15th April. A large number of buns are needed, bought or home-made. Please let Doris Sleep know how many you can supply to be brought to Central's Hall by 9am on Easter Saturday. Volunteers, young and not so young, to help distribute the buns are also required (please bring baskets etc.).

WANTED URGENTLY
1. A worship Co-ordinator - Duties:
a) Two or three times a Quarter to contact visiting preachers for the morning service and offer them help and advice.
b) Once a Quarter to attend a Worship Committee Meeting.

2. Two Reading Co-ordinators- Duties:
a) To ensure there are two readers available for every Sunday morning service.

Action Group Meeting at the home of Doris Sleep on Monday 10th April at 7.30pm.

League of Prayer meeting, Tuesday 11th April at 7.30pm in the Chapel. Speaker: Rev Paddy Kyle showing a video of the work of the Mission Aviation Fellowship which provides aviation, information technology, and learning technology services to nearly 600 Christian and humanitarian organizations worldwide. Don't miss it - it's a great work.

You should have received your Easter Offering envelope 'When did I see you?'. Please put it in the offering by 23rd April. There will be a service at Polyphant chapel on Thursday 27th April at 7.30pm. The speaker will be the Rev Anne Curnow and there will be a Bring and Buy stall and a Faith supper. Please help to support the Methodist church overseas. All are very welcome.

Puddings and Promises (Auction) Evening, Thursday 27th April will be held at the home of Rosemary and Barry Greenaway. If you would like to offer a 'Promise' for sale, please tell someone on the Action Committee, Marjorie Banbury or one of the Church Stewards.
FINAL PLEA! I am coming close to finishing my History dissertation which focuses on the History of Wesley Methodist, Tower Street et al between 1935 and 1955ish. If anyone has any notice sheets, anniversary ads, concert ads, membership tickets, band of hope pledges or anything relating to this period of this Church's life could you please phone me. Thursday 13th - Come and Celebrate Passover Seder "as Jesus did", Christ the Cornerstone, Tregadillett, 7pm. We shall be eating a Full Meal followed by Holy Communion. Bring the Children, they are most welcome. There is no charge but a free will offering will be taken to defray expenses. To reserve your seat tel; Tony Cox 01566 772905.

Friday 14th - Rexon Cross Chapel Anniversary - 7.30pm Thoughts of Easter with friends from St Ive, Liskeard.

Saturday 15th - Circuit Prayer Day, Dingley Hall, 9am-12noon followed by Communion.

Sunday 16th - Rexon Cross Chapel Anniversary - 11am Mrs E. Cox. 7.30pm Songs of Praise with Rev A. Cox.

Sunday 23rd - Werrington Park Garden Open Day, 2-5pm. Admission £5 includes Cream Tea, Children free. In aid of NSPCC.

Saturday 29th - St Mary's Church Appeal - Open Day & Gift Day, 10am-4pm. Come along and have a free cup of tea or coffee and see the restoration works to be done. Enter our balloon race and help complete the Silver Trail.
