Launceston Area Bible Society cordially invites you to a cream tea on Wed. 9th July from 3.00pm to 5.00pm at the Manse, Tregadillett. Cost £3. There will be a bring & buy stall.
Come and see the film “Tootsie”, starring Dustin Hoffman & Jessica Lange. Showing at Central in the Hall Thursday 3rd July at 7.30pm. Ice creams available during the interval. Donations to Central Church funds.
NCH Sunday Lunch will be held on 13th July at Central from 12.15pm. Price: adults £6, children £3. Tickets from Joan Helme (775745) or Margaret Baker (772821) or at door.
Holiday Club '08. Marguerite is interested in running a holiday club during the 1st or 2nd week of August. There would need to be a team of people to help her. All sorts of volunteers would be needed to help from people making drinks to those able to help with craft. All would need to be CRB checked and cleared. Launceston Hospital League of Friends: the annual fete will be held on Saturday 5th July and the Women’s Fellowship will be manning a stall on behalf of Central. Church members are requested to supply items for sale on the stall. If you have any would you please leave them on the table in the school room before 12 noon on Saturday.
As many of you know Revd Chris Blake will be leaving the District in July. There will be a leaving service on Wed.16th July at Truro Methodist Church at 7pm, all are welcome. If there is sufficient interest a coach can be arranged at a rough cost of £7.50 each. If you are interested in going by coach please drop a note to the Circuit office by 1st July. It would be nice to thank Chris with a gift from the Circuit—if you would like to contribute please place in an envelope in the offering clearly marked “Chris Blake Leaving”. Any cheques payable to “Launceston Central Methodist Church”.
Launceston Show, Thursday 17 July. If you are able to help for an hour or so serving coffee etc and chatting to visitors at the Churches Together in Launceston stand at the show please put your name on the rota in the Christian Bookshop in Westgate Street. Even if you can't help please make a point of visiting the stand for rest and refreshment.
