Harvest Flower Festival 2003
...God's Gracious Gifts

Spectacular colour, sounds and fragrance greeted visitors to the Flower Festival and Harvest celebrations at Launceston Central Methodist Church on the weekend of 26-28th September 2003.

The beautifully decorated church building was open to everyone from Friday through to the Sunday and what a treat the event was. Stunning displays featuring the colours of the rainbow, designed and arranged by many local people and co-ordinated by Mrs Liz Ware, made one realise the creative talent that we have in our community. It was fitting that this talent should be displayed at a time of harvest celebration. Refreshments were enjoyed and local guest organists, provided a musical background to the festival.

Thanksgiving was the theme of the weekend and a guest preacher, Rev. Douglas Rix led the services. On the Friday evening the celebrated artist and evangelist Rev Daniel Cozens delighted the congration at Central with a ' Night of Colour'.

the weekend culminated on the Sunday with two services of celebration, including the Launceston Male Voice Choir, where many of the local people came together to offer praise and thanksgiving for the many harvests of our community.

The collections from the weekend services and sale of produce will be shared equally between two charities.
